Hello from WACHA! We are proud to join “AprilDream”, a special initiative by PR TIMES that encourages companies topublicly share their dreams on April 1.
At WACHA, our dream is clear: To bringback the culture of tea into our daily lives, and create a society where people take time to breathe, reflect, and nourish their hearts.
In the past, tea was a deeply rooted partof everyday life in Japan. However, recent data shows that over 70% ofhouseholds no longer own a kyusu (traditional teapot) (MAFF, 2022), and thenumber of tea practitioners has dropped from 6 million to under 1.8 million (Agency for Cultural Affairs).
In today’s fast-paced society, we areconstantly prioritizing efficiency and “saving time.” But in the process, we
may be losing something more valuable: time for ourselves. Time topause, to breathe, and to reconnect.
■ A New Tea Culture for Modern Life: “TheModern Tea Moment”
WACHA proposes a new style of tea time—a “ModernTea Moment”—that anyone can enjoy, without rules or formality.
Just one minute of whisking a bowl ofmatcha can become a grounding ritual, a form of Soulcare, where youcheck in with your heart and mind.
