    WACHA PRODUCER / HANAYO KATO

We at WACHA Inc. are a well-being brand rooted in the traditions of Japanese tea culture, with the concept of "Bringing Color to Mind and Body Through Tea."

The name WACHA carries deep meaning:

"WA" (和) represents harmony and Japanese culture.

    "CHA" (茶) means tea.

Our logo is inspired by the lotus flower, a symbol of purity and resilience. The blending of various colors in the logo represents the fusion of diverse cultures.

The Deeper Meaning of the Lotus Flower

Despite blooming in the mud, the lotus flower remains untainted, blossoming into a beautiful and unique existence.
In a world full of challenges, we strive to bloom like the lotus—cultivating something truly special and irreplaceable.

    The Origins of WACHA

WACHA began with the legacy of my grandfather, "Kasenjin", a master artisan of Raku tea bowls.

As I delved into the history of Raku ware, I came to realize that the way of tea is the culmination of Japanese culture itself.
However, I also became deeply aware of the many challenges tea culture faces today—
a decline in practitioners, difficulties in passing down traditional craftsmanship, and the evolving nature of modern lifestyles.

With the desire to preserve and revitalize Japanese culture,

    I founded WACHA.

    My Journey to WACHA

After graduating from university, I worked in brand strategy and new business development at a major Japanese electronics manufacturer, gaining extensive experience in marketing.
With a strong personal interest in health, I developed a deep fascination with tea leaves, herbs, and medicinal plants.
The COVID-19 pandemic further strengthened my belief in the concept of "preventive health", leading me to earn a certification as a Kampo (Japanese herbal medicine) advisor.

Leveraging this knowledge, I developed matcha-based health foods and wellness-focused Japanese sweets.
Additionally, I integrated tea ceremony robotics and showcased this innovative fusion of tradition and technology at the world-renowned Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

    WACHA’s Vision for the Future

Today, we offer a new kind of tea experience, featuring:
🌿 Three-Color Matcha (Green, Blue, and Red Matcha)
🌿 MATCHAI – a fusion of matcha and spices
🌿 Matcha Therapy – a mindful tea meditation

    The act of whisking matcha,
the aroma rising with the steam,
the warmth of the tea bowl in your hands—
Tea is an experience that harmonizes the senses, bringing balance to both mind and body.

At WACHA, we honor tradition while embracing innovation,
creating a new way of tea that is accessible to everyone.

We are deeply grateful for your continued support.
WACHA will keep exploring new possibilities through tea,
bringing wellness, culture, and joy to everyday life.

We look forward to sharing this journey with you.
